Short summary
- LilCoach is a habit tracker that works offline first. Your habits, check-ins, minimums, notes, optional day plan and settings are stored on your device.
- The Coach card after a missed day, the reasons you pick and the change it suggests are prepared on your device. On Plus and Pro, AI reviews use a numeric summary without habit names. Pro Coach chat sends your message and the context you allow to an AI model through our backend; we do not keep chat messages.
- Every change the Coach suggests, including changes the Pro chat can make to your habits or day plan, is applied only after you confirm it.
- We do not sell personal data, show third-party ads or track you across other apps.
- Health, location, calendar, microphone, notifications, account sync and diagnostics are optional and used only after you turn them on or grant the permission.
- Purchases are handled by Apple or Google, with RevenueCat for subscription status. We never receive your card details.

AI features
On your device. The card after a miss, the reasons, the suggested change and the 3-day check are prepared on your device by rules, not by a remote AI model.
Reviews (Plus, Pro). With an account, the app sends a numeric summary of recent days without habit names or notes. Summaries and results are deleted after 7 days.
Pro Coach chat. Before your first message the app asks whether it may send your habit context. Your message and that context go to AppFactory backend services and then, through OpenRouter, to an AI model provider (for example OpenAI or Google). The Coach can propose changes such as creating a habit, moving it or making it smaller, or building a day plan; each change is shown first and applied only after you confirm it, and you can undo it. We do not keep chat messages; daily usage counters (number of requests and cost, no message text) are kept for up to 90 days to enforce limits.
Coach memory. “What the Coach remembers” lives on your device. A chat request may include a few remembered facts needed for the reply; there is no memory database on our servers. You can view, delete or switch off memory and withdraw your agreement in the app.
Safety. If a message suggests you may be in danger, the Coach stops the habit conversation and shows a link to findahelpline.com. LilCoach is not a medical or mental health service.
How data is stored
Your habits, progress, Coach state, memory and chat transcript are stored in app storage on your device. Data leaves your device only for a feature you use: sign-in, Plus cloud sync, purchases, calendar authorization, reviews, Pro chat, the onboarding goal, or diagnostics. Account sessions are kept in secure device storage where supported. Backup files you export are under your control.
Account, session and sync data are handled by AppFactory backend services on Cloudflare (Workers and D1).
Service providers
We share data only to run the app, protect it, comply with law or follow your choices. Providers act on our behalf:
- Cloudflare: website and backend hosting, storage and security.
- OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to (for example OpenAI and Google): reviews, Pro chat and the onboarding goal.
- Apple and Google: app distribution, sign-in, purchases, permissions, Health APIs, calendar and speech recognition.
- RevenueCat: subscription validation and status.
- Firebase App Check: protecting backend requests from abuse.
- Sentry: crash and error reports, set up not to send default personal information.
- Email providers: when you write to us.
Analytics, ads and tracking
LilCoach has no third-party ads and does not track you across apps or websites. Usage events are aggregated by day without a personal identifier. On Android, when install attribution is enabled, a pseudonymous install ID and Google Play referral data may be sent with install and purchase milestones.
This website
lilcoach.app is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site, Cloudflare processes your IP address, the requested page, time, browser details and referrer. If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled, it counts page views without cookies and without tracking you across sites. Fonts are served from this site, not from third-party font services. The site stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage. Store buttons open Google Play with a campaign tag that tells us which page you came from.
Your choices
- Use LilCoach without an account; sync and sign-in are optional.
- Manage Health, Calendar, Location, Microphone, Speech Recognition and Notifications in your device settings.
- View, delete or switch off Coach memory, and withdraw chat agreement, in the app.
- Switch off optional diagnostics in Settings.
- Export or import a backup.
- Delete your account in the app or by these steps.
- Ask for access, correction, deletion or export at [email protected].
Account deletion and retention
When you confirm deletion in the app (Settings → Data → Delete Account), we delete the account and its synced data. Step-by-step instructions: https://lilcoach.app/delete-account/.
Deleting the account does not erase data on your device; uninstall the app or clear its data to remove it. Exported backups stay where you saved them. Deleting the account or uninstalling does not cancel a subscription.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the features you use, security, purchases and legal duties. Review summaries: 7 days. Usage counters: up to 90 days. Limited records for security, billing or disputes may stay longer, and provider backups follow their usual cycle.
Security
We use HTTPS, secure token storage, session authentication, backend access controls and App Check. No method is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
LilCoach is not intended for children under 13, or the higher minimum age where you live. We do not knowingly collect children's data. If you think a child gave us data, contact us.
International transfers and your rights
AppFactory and its providers may process data outside your country, with appropriate safeguards where required. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict or object to processing. Write to [email protected]; we may need to verify your identity.
Changes
We update this policy when LilCoach or the rules change and change the date above when we do.
