The next day: one card on Today
After one missed day, Today shows a card for that habit: “Yesterday did not work out: Reading. That is okay. Today, the minimum is enough: one page.” You get three buttons.
- I will do the minimum: today counts, and it is a comeback
- Move: put the habit at a time that fits today
- Pause: take a break; your history stays as it is
After several missed days
If a habit has gone a few days without a check-in, the card changes: “No catching up. Start again with the smallest step.” The missed days stay in your history, and nothing asks you to do them now.
For a habit you want to quit or cut down, a slip gets its own card: “It does not undo what you have done. Today is a new day.” and a button to start fresh today.
A reminder the morning after, then quiet
The morning after a miss, LilCoach sends one gentle reminder. If you don't open it, nothing else follows. Coach notifications are limited to one a day, they respect quiet hours, and you can turn them off without touching your habit reminders.
When the whole day is hard
In the Coach tab, “A hard day” turns every habit on today into its minimum after you confirm. Reading becomes one page and a walk becomes two minutes. Tomorrow they go back to normal.
Checking whether the minimum helped
On Plus, three days after you switch a habit to its minimum, LilCoach shows how it went, for example “The minimum is working: 3 of 3 days” next to how often you did the habit before. You keep the minimum or go back to the previous goal.

Questions
How many missed days before the comeback card appears?
One. The card shows up the day after a single missed scheduled day.
Do I have to make up the days I missed?
No. LilCoach never asks you to catch up. The card offers the smallest step for today.
What does Pause do?
It stops the habit for a while without deleting anything. Your history stays as it is, and you can bring the habit back when you are ready.
Is the comeback card free?
Yes. The comeback card, minimums, the morning reminder after a miss and the weekly recap are all on the free plan.
