Setting a minimum
When you add a habit, LilCoach asks for its smallest version: “A step you could do on a hard day.” If you leave it empty, the default is “2 minutes or one action”. Habits from Light Start come with a minimum already set.
- Read one page
- Take a 2-minute walk
- Do one 30-second stretch
- Take a sip of water after waking up
- Spend the first 2 minutes without your phone
- Take three slow breaths
- Name one good thing from today
- Go to bed at least 10 minutes earlier than usual
Doing the minimum on Today
On Today, swipe a habit to the left and tap “Minimum”. The habit shows as “Minimum done”, with a half-filled mark, and the day counts.
In your first week the Coach tab also asks in the morning whether today is a full day or a minimum day. Choosing the minimum ahead of time is fine.

How a minimum counts
A minimum counts as a completed day for comebacks and for the days you showed up. In your history it is marked separately, so a month of minimums never looks like a month of full goals.
If you missed a day, doing the minimum the next day is a comeback.
Making the minimum the plan for a while
Sometimes the goal is too big for this month. On Plus, the daily review may suggest trying the minimum for a while, and three days later it shows whether that helped, so you can keep it or go back to the previous goal.
Questions
Is the minimum free?
Yes. Minimums and the Minimum swipe are on the free plan.
Can I change a minimum later?
Yes. You can edit the smallest version of any habit.
Doesn't a minimum make the habit too easy?
It covers the days when the full habit would not happen at all. Your history keeps full days and minimum days apart, so you can see how often you did each.
